Dancing With The Stars

Skye won tickets from a radio show for Dancing with the Stars the Tour. She let me go with her because she is so nice. So we went to dinner and got there early so we were going around to all the booths and got a ton of free stuff (t-shirts, bags, thermoses, key chains, ect.) But the cool thing was I won a Samsung Eternity phone. They only gave 20 away each night and I got it! It doesn't work with Verizon so we're going to sell it on e-bay but it was cool anyway.
My favorite couple this season was Lance and Lacey and they were there and they did my favorite dance which was their tango so I was so excited. Here's the YouTube version of it.

Thanks Skye! It was a blast!

White Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. The boys slept in and we woke up to snow and lots of it. The news said we got 13 inches yesterday. We spent Christmas Eve playing at the Hanks House and then had breakfast for my family at our house so we didn't have to get up and go anywhere. We spent the afternoon at the Reese side of the family and had an enjoyable day.
Denver's favorite present from Santa was a Little Einstein Laptop computer. Darling! If anyone is looking for a good 3+ age present this is it. Only $25 and it teaches them games with letters, numbers, and music. It's going to be great in the car and now they leave my laptop alone. We are going to invest in one for Beck too.
Today Coby spent the morning snow blowing everyone out with his brothers and dad and then we went sledding down the hill by his parents house. The kids had so much fun (and the adults) the boys even got brave and tried snowboarding on the sleds down. Beck wasn't a fan but sat on my lap the whole time watching the entertainment. After we had soup at and the kids watched Wall*E. They wanted a snack and none of us got them one so we found that Lexie had gotten a box of Wheat thins and they were munching on the couch while they watched the movie.

Candy & Snow

My mom came over and we spent Saturday making treats. Denver had so much fun helping dip pretzels in chocolate while Beckham just ate the chocolate...
Today we had a ton of snow so Coby and Denver went out to shovel and build a snow man. You can see how bad it's snowing in the pictures.

Christmas Bowling

We had our family party this year at the bowling alley and had so much fun! The kids loved bowling while we ate and opened presents. Santa even found us there and bowled a frame. Denver acted like they were best friends and gave him our letters, Beckham wasn't a fan until he got a present from him, then he would go near him if we held him.

SNOW!!!

Well this morning we woke up to a little snow. Denver started running around like a maniac wanting to go out and play. So it was 8:00 in the morning and the three of us are out playing in the snow.Denver lovesthe snow and spent the whole time shoveling. He wanted to make a snowman and slide down hills like last year but I talked him into waiting till there was more snow. He just sat out there and played.
Beckham wasn't sure what he thought of the snow. It wasn't the cold or wet that he didn't like, it was the clothes. He really disliked the pants and hat and gloves, but it was the boots that were the worst. He could barely walk two feet without falling over, Oh well, at least there is finally a little snow to play in (at least for today)

Finally!

Well after six months of waiting we finally started our house. It's been such a process of we can go then not yet (because we decided to build when the economy isn't it great). We have been currently living with my Uncle Travis in our old house for a month since it's been officially his. He is letting us stay with him until ours is done in April/May. Denver loves to go look at our hole and asks every day if our new house is done. Foundation is done tomorrow and we start framing on Monday and hope to keep things moving as fast as we can push! If anyone wants to give us any great ideas for a new house, let us know before it's done.

Random Pictures

It's been a while since I last posted so I thought I'd put a few random pictures.
This is Beck just being silly. He's turning into such a toddler. He knows what he shouldn't do and does it just to look at us and get a reaction. He runs from us, throws tantrums, and is starting to bite. Yea for us :)

Denver was so excited to help me decorate the tree and he put all the decorations he could right in the same place. I haven't had the heart to move them because he is so proud he did it himself. Who cares if the ornaments are concentrated in one area? :) He's been so good lately. They've been learning about good manners in preschool and he tries so hard. Sometimes when he's having a hard time he'll just say "I'm losing my manners!" Then when he's got his composure back he'll say "My manners came back!"

Family Pictures

We had our family pictures done by Nicole Nelson and she did such a great job! She's priced great and gives you a cd so you can print what you want. Also, she's doing a Christmas Card sitting for $50 if you need a family picture and card for Christmas. Check out her blog for info. Here are a few of my favorite pictures (for a bunch more click on her name):

Happy Halloween!

Here's the family tonight, all dressed up but not matching in anyway. We had fun visiting all the family around town and walking around the neighborhood.
And at North Park Frankenstein and a witch came and Denver took his picture with them. This is us carving pumpkins, we bought patterns this year and they turned out really cool. Denver was still not a fan of pulling out the guts but loved drawing on them.
And I just love this one of Beckham because he finally found one Baby Einstein video that he will watch and he loves it! I've tried all of them and it's there is only one that he'll sit through. (which is Baby Da Vinci: head to toe)Here's a picture of Denver getting ready for his Halloween party at school.

Halloween Party

Coby and I had bought costumes to wear with the kids trick-or-treating this year. Coby thought we needed to because at this age they would love it and some day we'd just embarrass them. Then we got an invite to a friends Halloween party so we just wore them there. It was last night and here's a picture of us as Zorro and Snow White. We had a great time and the kids really did think we were fun.

Pumpkin Walk

Today a few friends wanted to go to the pumpkin walk in Logan. Well I thought it was a good idea for us to go and take Coby. So he came and we took the kids to look at all the pumpkins and a witch. When Denver first saw her he was scared but she was so nice that he got closer and started talking to her like they were friends. It was a fun family activity.

Sugar Cookies

Denver's friend Savanna came over today to make sugar cookies. We had quite the mess when we were done but they had a lot of fun cutting the dough, and frosting them themselves. And you can't forget the sprinkles- there was a lot of them!

Quick Trip & Leaving the Private Blog World

Coby was gone to Iowa all week and my mom didn't have any school so we decided to take the kids to St.George for a couple days. We went to Jumpin Jax again, which is definately the favorite thing to do, I wish they had one closer than Provo to us. If you can click on the picture of Beckham and I going down the big slide. He wanted to go on it over and over and over but his face in the picture looks like pure terror! We went to the splash park for a while (it was 80 the whole time we were there) and took the kids to the Dinosaur Track Museum (kind of cool). Mom and I took turns going to the temple and just had a fun, relaxing time in one of my favorite places.

Also, I'm having some issues with blogger letting some people check my blog so I'm taking it off private. I've still got everyones addresses saved in case I change back you can still check it but I'm going to try not private for awhile, so go ahead and add me to your google readers. :)

It's Halloween Time...

Denver came home from school today singing this song. By the time I got it recorded he was getting bored with it and it loses some of the actions and words but I thought it was a great way to bring in October.

Playing at the Farm

The boys love to go play at the farm. Denver loves running through the corn and playing on the tramp. Beck just loves the dirt. Grandpa took them on the tractor the other day and let them run the controls to lift the bucket up and down. They love to ride the motorcycle with him but Denver has decided that he needs his own little one, so Tom pulled out the old one we used to ride around and told him he'd fix it up so when he turns 5 he can ride by himself. (We'll see how mom and dad feel about that in a couple years)

Favorite Friend!?!

Denver has decided that Grandpa Tom is his 'Favorite Friend'. So here are a few pictures of them hanging out in the pumpkin patch. Denver actually is having a 'sleep over' with grandpa right now. we went to visit and he wouldn't come home with us. Good luck grandma and grandpa! :)

New Office

Here's a little video of walking through Coby's new office. You have to turn your head and it isn't the same as when you are actually there but it gives those of you that are far away the idea of what his new office looks like. We moved next door to where he used to be but it's the same phone number and everything. We outgrew the other office and so we decided to stop sharing with another agent. It's smaller in square footage but has a conference room, work room, and a kitchen nicer than the one at our house. We are adding a window into Coby's office and doors on the work room so we can lock the files in. It still needs a little decorating but we love it and already feel at home there.

Fourth Picture in Fourth Folder

I saw this on my friend Joell's blog and thought it was fun.

Rules: Open your pictures file, go to the fourth folder, and then the fourth picture. Post the picture and write a little bit about what was going on!

This was on Denver's 3rd birthday and it's my dad holding Beckham and my brother sitting by them smiling. It's in my family folder and reminds me of how nice it is to have family so close to spend special occasions with. It's nice to have my kids know their extended family so well.

Fun Stuff...

I haven't got much to blog about but we've taken some pictures that I thought I'd post. Today they had a health safety clinic at mom's elementary school and denver got to see the life flight helicopter come and land and look around it. They had the big ladder firetruck, an ambulance, cop cars and everything. Denver has started painting when Beckham is asleep and he's getting pretty good. Beckham is getting a fun personality and always into everything, if it makes a mess or loud noises then he loves it. We're enjoying the last of the good weather and grilling alot and we've had a lot of fun.

30?!?!

Happy Birthday Coby! I can't believe that I'm married to someone 30! He's getting so old :) For his birthday I got all the old sports pictures and news paper articles from his mom and put them into a scrap book. 94 pages later- here's a couple favorite pictures. He's so great at everything: sports, work, being a dad and husband. I'm very lucky and just want to wish him happy birthday!

PRESCHOOL!!

Well today was Denver's first day of Preschool! He was so excited he wanted to go all by himself, but he told grandma that mom would have to drive him since he didn't have a car yet. He did great and loved every minute of it. I'm so proud of him for not being scared or crying. He's going to this wonderful teacher Nicole Nelson (her blog is on my list on the side) and she is so great! I worked with her at North Park before she had kids and decided to run a preschool out of her basement so she could stay home. I'm so happy to have a place for him to go that I know the teacher so well and know that he will learn a lot but still be a kid.

LOOK WHO'S ONE!!!

I don't know where a year went!?! As I look back and remember what an exciting entrance he made into the world, I should have know he would become a special kid. Beck has turned into a very mischievous, independent, fun little guy. He loves food and will come running if he sees anyone eating. He loves to play with his brother and is already starting to get his own way . He is always smiling unless he's hungry or tired (like his mom) and we love the atmosphere he brings into our family.

Here's a little bit about his story when he was born, you can stop reading now if you remember, I remember it like it was yesterday (it still makes me sick to my stomach). I woke up with contractions at 3:15 in the morning. The hospital said to take tylenol and get in the bath to make sure I was in labor. I did that and straightened my hair and got into bed. The contractions where consistent at six minutes for an hour and a half so I told Coby we should probably go. I went to get out of bed at 4:45 and my water broke. Becky came up and we were out the door at 5:00. We drove really fast and by Farr West I was very uncomfortable (to say the least) by 31st street I was ready to push. Coby's yelling (and swearing) made Beck stay put till we pulled up to the hospital door. Luckily it was a shift change and some nurses were in the parking lot and helped me out of the car and into a wheel chair. The rest is like a movie, the nurses running through the halls with a wheelchair and me screaming at the top of my lungs. When I got on a bed his head was already out and the nurses delivered him, with no help from the drugs :( He was born at 5:31 am at 8 lbs 9 oz and 21 inches long.
Here's a picture of us a year ago:
